Adult Marine Debris Course- 6 weeks

Date

January 24 - February 28, 2018

Time

10-11am

Location

CCU Myrtle Beach Education Center

Narrative

The CWSEC Coordinator is partnering with the Horry County Museum to offer a 3-week Active Adult Learning program titled “Marine Debris: Origins to Oceans.” This FREE program is open to the public and will offer a crash course on the journey of marine debris from land to sea starting right here in Horry County. To better understand how marine debris affects the health of oceans and people, and what WE can do to help in our community, the topics will build on one another each week and include a series of interactive presentations, videos, discussions, and community stewardship activities (weather-permitting).

Are you interested in diving even deeper into the topic of marine debris? Then register for the full 6-week, non-credit adult OLLI course this spring (Wednesdays, January 24th – February 28th 2018 from 10:00 – 11:00 am at the CCU Myrtle Beach Education Center)! The deadline to register for this “Marine Debris: Origins to Oceans” course is January 10th.
