Date

October 03, 2012

Narrative

This one-day, introductory course aims to increase the ability of local decision-makers to identify wetlands and wetland boundaries based upon hydrologic, soil, and vegetation indicators commonly found in the coastal wetlands of Georgetown and Horry Counties. Dr. Richard Darden with the US Army Corps of Engineers will lead classroom and field instruction, which will include site visits to a variety of wetlands on the Hobcaw Barony property. Participants should dress for the weather and wear appropriate attire for tromping around in the woods and mud.
