Narrative

Come learn about the importance of South Carolina’s oysters. From helping to protect our shorelines to providing habitat for organisms, they’re far more than just a tasty treat! Be prepared to get your hands dirty as we dissect an oyster reef sample. SCDNR staff will also provide information about harvesting your own oysters this fall.

This program is for adults.

Please bring a reusable water bottle and dress to spend time outdoors.

Weather decisions will be made the day before the event and participants will be notified ASAP.
