Narrative

The S.C. Sea Grant Consortium, Clemson University, and College of Charleston are engaging stakeholders to explore how to maintain traditional working waterfront uses while protecting and enhancing them in the face of population growth and changing weather and tidal impacts.

The purpose of this forum is to bring together a diverse group of working waterfront-related stakeholders who will learn about recent research projects that identify waterfront needs. Attendees will discuss the challenges and opportunities facing South Carolina working waterfronts now and in the future.

Forum attendees will be invited to participate in a facilitated discussion to prioritize issues that should be addressed in order to maintain and enhance South Carolina working waterfronts. This discussion will also focus on identifying resources to help address these issues – including tools, collaborations, partnerships, and funding opportunities.

Light refreshments will be provided.
