Getting to Know Your Neighborhood Stormwater System

Date

February 02, 2012

Location

TPC Clubhouse - Murrells Inlet

Narrative

On February 2nd, HOA board members of the Greater Burgess Community Association participated in a seminar titled, “Getting to Know Your Neighborhood Stormwater System.” The seminar led by Karen Fuss, CWSEC, Dave Fuss and Eric Hasara, Horry County Stormwater, gave attendees an overview of a typical stormwater system including maintenance and operation, system assessment, and county regulations. Attendees also participated in a mapping exercise which helped them to better understand the parts of an as-built plan. Each participant received a large 3-ring binder full of information that will serve as a stormwater resource for their HOA or POA for years to come. Information in the binder can be downloaded at the www.cwsec-sc.org website under past training events.
