The BCD COG is hosting 6-state chapter APA webcasts in 2009. First Friday "Lunch and Learn" sessions are a great opportunity for certified planners to earn required CM credits. There is no fee to attend, just bring your lunch if you'd like to eat while you watch!
Community visioning is an innovative growth management tool that can be used to promote future development in a compact and sustainable manner, Community visioning involves diverse elements of the community, including civic groups, businesses and government. This session will use The Taylor County, Florida Vision 2060 process as a case study, discuss lessons learned and applications which are transferable to other communities. Speakers: Rich Unger, FAICP, MSCW, Inc. and Curt Ostrodka, AICP, LEED AP, MSCW, Inc.
