Narrative

The BCD COG is hosting 6-state chapter APA webcasts in 2009. First Friday "Lunch and Learn" sessions are a great opportunity for certified planners to earn required CM credits. There is no fee to attend, just bring your lunch if you'd like to eat while you watch!
This webcast will discuss the limitations on and common legal challenges to local land use decisions and will discuss practical steps local land use agencies should consider to conform to federal constitutional and statutory limitations. This course is being taught by Dan Vogel who is the founding shareholder of Cunningham, Vogel and Rost P.C. a law firm representing only local governments and related public sector interests. Dan has represented municipalities in Missouri, Illinois and Kansas relating to land use and development matters, condemnation, telecommunications and franchises, and related municipal issues. Dan has assisted municipalities with the preparation of zoning and development codes, comprehensive plans, and specialized development ordinances. Dan holds his J.D. degree from the University of Virginia.
