Egrets, oyster grass, cypress knees, ghost shrimpÖjoin our outdoor adventure in the Winyah Master Naturalist class this spring as we explore the fascinating habitats of coastal South Carolina. There are three spots left, and registration closes March 1st.
Classes will be held on Fridays, March 11th to June 10th. This class will involve exciting field trips with expert interpreters to the mountains, forests, swamps and marshes that make South Carolina a unique and beautiful classroom for the nature enthusiast. Participants completing the course and 30 hours of approved volunteer work will receive a Master Naturalist certification and will be eligible to participate in advanced volunteer training courses. Registration for the course is though the SC Master Naturalist Program, a SC Cooperative Extension program administered through the Department of Forestry and Natural Resources of Clemson University. The course fee of $600 includes course materials, field guides, and entrance fees to field trip sites.
