The objective of this workshop is to increase the knowledge of decision- makers about: The importance of sediment control for water quality, and the importance of best management practices during construction, sediment basin design changes and regulation included in: revised Construction General Permit, new required components of sediment basins, including best practices for design, installation and maintenance, DHEC’s compliance criteria to inspect and maintain sediment basin BMPs and components for compliance with project permits.
