Narrative

The goal of this workshop is to increase local decisionmakers’ knowledge of coastal water quality issues and the regulatory framework around stormwater management in South Carolina. This workshop will also introduce several different tools and strategies to protect and improve water quality. Several case studies from in and around coastal South Carolina will also be showcased at this event.

The workshop is hosted by the Governors’ South Atlantic Alliance and SC Department of Health and Environmental Control with the support of the North Inlet – Winyah Bay NERR, SC Sea Grant Consortium, and the City of North Myrtle Beach.

The workshop is approved for 4 AICP CE credits by the American Planning Association, 4 credits by the South Carolina Planning Education Advisory Committee, as well as 4 Engineering PDHs, and 4 CFM CECs by the ASFPM for eligible workshop participants.
