You are invited to:
The Train the Trainer Workshop for a Role Play Simulation on Climate Adaptation Planning
Registration required: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/RolePlaySimulation
Learn to facilitate a Role Play Simulation workshop that engages community members in interactive dialogues for adapting to impacts of a changing climate in southeast coastal communities. Trainees will learn to prepare, promote, facilitate, and follow-up on the workshop. The goal of this workshop is to prepare trainees to apply this approach within their own communities or organizations.
This event is part of a NOAA Scientific Transfer grant that uses a consensus building approach that allows community members to play the roles of stakeholders in climate planning scenarios. Articles on the ongoing implementation of the Role Play Simulation in Georgetown County, SC can be found here and here. The trainers will be representatives from the team that created the role play simulation: The North Inlet – Winyah Bay National Estuarine Research Reserve, Coastal Carolina University, and the Consensus Building Institute. If you are aware of any other organizations or individuals that you think we should include, please feel free to share this event or my contact information.
