Coastal Carolina University’s Waccamaw Watershed Academy aims to deliver education, research, and outreach services to Horry and Georgetown Counties. Drawing upon the academic and professional expertise at CCU as well as leveraging partnerships with community organizations, the WWA helps further our understanding of environmental problems in local watersheds. Our Volunteer Water Quality Monitoring Programs provide public education and outreach opportunities, in addition to the collection of high-quality data. When more data are needed, regulatory-level water quality science is conducted through the state-certified Environmental Quality Lab. Please contact us for to discuss your research or outreach needs.
